Gamers have now another headphone in the list to choose from. Razer just announced the Megalodon 7.1 headphones which feature advanced technologies from the company. I say, when it comes to looks, I rather like it, but when it comes to gaming headphones, it’s more than just what could be seen at face value that matters.
The Razer Megalodon 7.1 is a surround round gaming headset that uses the brand’s new Maelstrom Audio Engine. Using that technology, positional audio cues are processed 800% faster than other virtual surround sound headphones. The Megalodon 7.1 is equipped with a mic for in-game conversations as well as controls to adjust the volumes. For sale on the fourth quarter of 2008, the Razer Megalodon 7.1 will retail for around US$149.99.
