Let’s take a break from all the WWDC news and go back to Computex 2008 where Power Quotient International Co. showcased its PQI Intelligent Drive i818. The drive uses USB 2.0-compatible PQI patented Intelligent Stick interface which gives the device its 2.5mm thickness.
The PQI Intelligent Drive i818 has a 360 degrees rotating mechanism, making it a drive with a swiveling form factor. The lid-less drive comes in peach, green, and blue; the latter two being the company’s official banner colors. COB packaging technology was utilized in the production of the drive to ascertain waterproof and dustproof specs. The PQI Intelligent Drive i818 is available in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB variants with the option to download Ur-Smart, a file security management software, from the PQI web site.
