The nondescript PNY Attaché USB flash drive gets a tepid review from Laptop Mag. The device features a simple black and blue body which, except for the logo, doesn’t do much for it, really. However, the hard plastic proved to be more durable than other plastic USBs, comparable to even an aluminum chassis.
The review praised the PNY Attaché USB flash drive’s exceptional read speed of 17.7 MBps. However, in spite of the claimed figure, it seems you’d get a varied performance output depending on the operating system in use—Mac OS X or Windows (2000, XP, and Vista). The biggest fault of all though would be the drive’s dismal write speed of 10.0 MBps which made Laptop Mag ultimately declare that unless you plan to buy the USB flash drive for its write speed, then it’s better to get something else.
