Mr. G, you’ve done it again - of course it worked.

The dissappointing, but not too surprising things was that no one at Telstra seemed to know how the devices worked. I’d used an ipaq before that didn’t have a gps on/off control, so i never though to look.

Make sure you turn on GPS via the Wireless Manager Simon. You can access it quickly by pressing the “Fn” and “sym” buttons together.

After activating and starting up CoPilot, give the inbuilt GPS receiver a minute or so to determine your current location / talk with the satellites.

Hi,
I have an 8502 with Copilot 7 also, but so far Copilot responds extremely slowly and has never found a GPS position, although it says that it had the GPS signal ok. Do you have any suggestions?

G’day Toast, don’t often participate in PocketPC Betas due to the fact that they are betas and I use my PDA extensively throughout the day so cannot afford any downtime.

However since it is Opera and since there’s not much that can go wrong with my 8502, I’ll load it up tomorrow.

Weird about the clash with the default Jblend…are you running from memory card or internal?

Any luck getting Opera Mini Beta 4.1 to work under the version of Jblend pre-installed on the Telstra 8502? Doesn’t like mine - says “Out of space”. Version 4.0 works fine tho.
