Here’s a picture that I took with my iMate Ultimate 8502 as one of our readers said he was having problems with the inbuilt camera. I think it looks ok for a 2MegaPixel PDA camera!
I’ve been using it for the last 2 weeks mostly for Address Book contacts and it’s been fine.

Thoughts?

Fair bit of noise but it is quite good for a 2M pixel camera.

I noticed it has the same issues that the HTC Touch Cruise and HTC TyTN II have…

Hopefully this won’t be the trend of quality once the new PDAs are out…

You’re such an iMate hater David…but glad to admit that there are faults with HTC devices too.

I have never expected PDA cameras to be perfect because that is not their main function.

Cheers for that. Much better than what Iâ€™ve been getting out of my 9502 (which is 3MP!). Anyway it was sent back today so now I wait for them to test it….

What program do you use for your address book? I’m looking for something similar to what the iphone does in that when you take a pic, you select the area you want to use for the contact’s photo, and then when they call it shows the image full screen.
