I guess it’s to be expected, what with the number of leaks that came out recently. Probably the sleekest phone Palm’s ever come out with to date, the Palm Treo Pro has just been officially announced. While it’ll be released unlocked in the USA, in Australia, it’ll be available through Telstra.
As you might know by now, the Palm Treo Pro is a Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional smartphone. It has GPS capability and a one-touch WiFi button connection. According to the press release, it also has a ringer switch which silences the device immediately, a screen saver, voicemail indicator, and dedicated email and calendar buttons. The Palm Treo Pro will sell for US$549 unlocked in the USA, and could be acquired free from Telstra depending on the contract involved.
