We’ve known about the Opera Mobile 9.5 mobile browser since it was announced earlier this year, but it seems the release of the first beta has been pushed back a few times already. Following the browser’s inclusion in some handsets including the HTC Touch Diamond, the beta version 1 has now been released.
It’ll have bugs, for sure, but the Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta promises a handful of improvements from the previous Opera mobile browser incarnation. For one, it’s reportedly faster and has improved standards support. It can also pan and zoom web pages when desired, and allows you to easily save web pages on your phone. The new mobile browser has an improved user interface which is cleaner and more intuitive than the previous version and is equipped with the Opera Dragonfly to debug web sites right off your phone. If you can’t decide whether to get it or not, check out the CNET video review of the browser.
You can get the Opera Mobile 9.5 Beta at the Opera web site.
