Our friends over at the UK get first taste of the new Nokia N-series phones, N85 and N79. The Nokia N85 smartphone is geared towards gaming and music, equipped with all the right features for its type. The N85 slider is an N-Gage phone and has built-in gaming controls for the service.
In the music front, the N85 comes pre-bundled with an 8GB microSDHC card so users can swap it for a bigger capacity if they want. The device has a 2.6-inch AMOLED screen which doesn’t just give you brighter colors; it also saves energy consumption so you can enjoy 28 hours of music playback on just a single charge. Other features include 5MP camera, GPS for geo-tagging, HSDPA, and WiFi.
The Nokia N79 phone which replaces the previous N78 model is touted as a fashion phone. The phone’s back covers can be swapped to fit the tastes of the owner. The candybar phone has a 5MP camera with dual-LED flash, 4GB microSD card, GPS, 3G, and WiFi. Although it can’t match N85’s 28 hours of playback, it still does well with 24 hours.
The Nokia N85 and Nokia N79 smartphones will be available in the UK next month.
