Subsequent to a lot of leaks, the Nokia 6260 slide has now been officially announced. The 6260 is a slider phone with an alphanumeric keypad geared towards multimedia and connectivity capabilities. As is common with majority of new phones today, this one has both WiFi and 3G with HSPA support connectivity.
The Nokia 6260 slide features the brand’s new 360 degree navi-key and has the conventional mobile phone features such as a music player and a web browser. There’s also Nokia’s Share on Ovi service and a 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss camera with flash. Additionally, the Nokia 6260 slide is the first Series 40 phone to carry GPS and support Nokia Maps. The phone will be available for AU$594 by the beginning of 2009.
