According to several sources straight from Japan, Nintendo is planning to release a new version of the Nintendo DS later this 2008. It will improve on the current console’s features and add a few key functions to it as well.
The next Nintendo DS model will come with an integrated camera and an MP3 player. The camera is apparently meant for new types of games that will be released in time, but I reckon it could be used for taking pictures as well. It’ll also feature a better wireless connection and a larger screen. Additionally, although it’s not known whether it comes integrated with an SD card slot, users can now exchange data between the Wii or any SD card and the Nintendo DS.
The new Nintendo DS will reportedly be available in Japan this year for around $190.
