What’s purported to be the new Palm Treo played a bit of peek-a-boo with us earlier. Called the Palm Treo Pro, it was spotted in a flash presentation on a page in the official Palm web site that’s already been removed. Judging by the screenshots taken though, the Palm Treo Pro is a looker indeed.
Looking crisp in a black design with white accents, the device featured is a Windows Mobile 6.1 GSM handset, which probably means the new Palm OS isn’t ready yet. The display is a 320 x 320 touchscreen on a form that’s thinner than prior Palm handsets. Based on the specs gleaned, the Treo Pro will feature both 3G and WiFi connectivity. Other specs include full QWERTY keyboard, micro-USB and 3.5mm jack connectors, and a microSD card slot.
Here’s hoping to a formal announcement soon.
