The Motorola EQ7 Wireless Hi-FI Stereo Speaker is a sound system not limited for use within the Motorola brand unlike the Motorola EQ5. Working both as a speakerphone and music speaker, the Motorola EQ7 can be connected wirelessly with any device supporting A2DP connection.
Even if a device doesn’t have A2DP support though, there’s always the 3.5mm jack. The flat panel you see on the picture contains four speakers on top and a woofer from the rear. It can run either on four AA batteries or through electricity via power adapter. CNET subjected it to connectivity tests and found that it could even be paired with the iPhone 3G, although since it doesn’t have A2DP support, it could only be used as a speaker phone and cannot stream music through Bluetooth. The reviewer was impressed with the range of wireless connectivity and judged music playback quality to be decent. The only setback is the Motorola EQ7’s price which seems a bit too expensive for a simple wireless speaker; AU$249.
