We’ve known about these mobile phones for quite some time, but now Motorola is officially announcing them as the three new handsets for the low to mid-range market. The phones in question are the Motorola ZN200, W396, and W388; three phones with three different form factors and rather bare lists of specifications, which I guess is a given.
The MOTO ZN200 (pictured left) is a slider phone with a 2-megapixel camera, USB and Bluetooth connection, and a 1.9-inch color display. It also has an expandable microSD card slot for up to 2GB cards, MP3 player and FM radio, and GPRS and EDGE connectivity. The second phone is the clamshell MOTO W396. This one has a 1.8-inch color display, MP3 player with dedicated music key, expandable microSD card slot for up to 2GB cards, USB 1.1, and GPRS connectivity. Finally, the MOTO W388 is a candybar phone with almost identical specs to the MOTO W396.
The Motorola ZN200, W396, and W388 mobile phones will be available by the end of Q3 ‘08.
