You’d think that with details about it leaking all over the internet, that Motorola’s Android-based phone would come soon. It seems that even the purported Asus Android-based phone would come even earlier than Motorola’s.
A recent interview with Motorola co-CEO revealed that Motorola‘s Android phone wouldn’t even see the light of day until the Holidays of 2009. That’s more than a year from now. The delay on the company’s part might be due to the fact that Motorola is experiencing heavy blows, with a loss amounting to $397 million and sales figures dropping by more than 30 percent. To try and recoup losses, Motorola will be concentrating on phones based on Windows Mobile, P2K 3G solutions, and of course, the Google Android. Additionally, the mobile phone company spin-off we’ve been hearing about since earlier this year has been put off, presumably because of the same reason.
