After the succession of rumors that came out within the last few weeks, a slew of info about the handset emerged online. Yesterday, HTC Dream passed the FCC which is a prerequisite for a handset to be sold in the US. Additionally, more info about its software and hardware components also came out.
According to BusinessWeek, the HTC Dream will come pre-installed with Google’s advertising software so users can receive offers if they choose to activate the advertisements. T-Mobile users will also get access to the T-Mobile App Store. An unconfirmed info is that the Dream’s screen will be larger than the iPhone’s. It will also be featuring a trackball for navigation and you might be compelled to use Gmail if you want push email. More importantly, according to Businessweek, we’ll see the first Google Android phone around Thanksgiving rather than October as first mentioned.
That’s great and all, but when will the rest of us non-Americans get to see the HTC Dream, I wonder?
