OK, I admit, it’s not as big had Microsoft collaborated with Apple, but it’s still noteworthy anyhow. As a follow-up to the prior Microsoft and RIM collaboration which put the Live Search on the BlackBerry, the two companies are collaborating yet again to expand Windows Mobile services on the BlackBerry smartphone.
Apparently, aside from Live Search, more Microsoft Windows Live Mobile services will be available on the BlackBerry. This includes the integration of Windows Live Hotmail as well as the Windows Live Messenger on your BlackBerry smartphone. Accessing your account is as easy as if you were in front of the computer—you simply input your username and password. In addition to the usual features, the Windows Live Hotmail would feature a “push†technology which would synchronize your BlackBerry with your Hotmail account so you’re always up to date with your emails. The Windows Live Mobile services’ integration onto the BlackBerry will be available this summer, although details regarding method and pricing are yet to be revealed.
