You got to give it to Microsoft for being sport. Knowing full well that iPhone has become a ubiquitous device used not just tech-savvy individuals but also by less tech-inclined consumers, the Apple rival came up with its own iPhone application.
What you’re looking at it’s the Microsoft Seadragon Mobile application. The Seadragon is a free image browsing application that lets users “deep zoom” into pictures online. According to source, the app demonstrates the backbone of Photosynth which is used for stitching together photographs to make a 3D environment. And get this: there are more applications for the Apple iPhone reportedly in development in the Microsoft Labs. What do you think of Microsoft’s move – was it a good decision to develop applications for a “rival” or do you think it’s a bit damaging to their brand to show faith in the iPhone?
