A Microsoft product for Mac? It might come off as an oxymoron, but nothing’s impossible, right? Microsoft’s Notebook Mouse for Mac is a redesigned version of the Bluetooth Notebook 5000 specifically for Windows platforms. Considering there aren’t many wireless mice for Mac computers, this is a welcome addition.
The Microsoft Notebook Mouse for Mac runs on three AAA batteries and connects to a Mac laptop (running operating systems Mac OS X v.10.2.6–10.4.X) via Bluetooth. It’s a small mouse with a battery LED indicator and four buttons. According to a review by MacLife, the mouse itself is a great product; however, it wasn’t exactly optimized for Mac systems. In fact, it doesn’t even come with a software to let you tweak the functionalities of its four buttons. Nevertheless, it seemed to have gained favor among many Mac users. Good news to those who’re interested; Mr. Gadget is stocking up on this baby in a couple of weeks’ time, so watch out for it!
