Make a Hotspot Wherever You Go Using MiFi

A company called Novatel brings us what a lot of people have been wanting for a long time now – a device that lets you create a hotspot wherever you go. Called the MiFi Intelligent Mobile Hotspot, it’s a rather slick-looking gadget that lets you share your 3G connection with multiple users anywhere.

MiFi uses WiFi connection to let other people tap into your connection which can be either EV-DO Rev. A or HSPA. It runs on an internal battery that lasts four hours of use and 40 hours of standby. The device is supposedly user-friendly and easy to use, hopefully even for the tech-challenged. The MiFi Intelligent Mobile Hotspot will be available in the market anytime within the first half of 2009.
