Viewty, what? LG just announced the successor to the touchscreen LG Viewty. The LG KC910 is an improvement of the older phone, fitted with an eight megapixel camera that seems to be fast becoming the new standard for the new generation of camera phones.
The LG KC910 with a 3-inch WQVGA 240×400 touch display is only 14mm thick and is touted as the thinnest 8MP phone to date. It has HSDPA and WiFi connectivity, as well as GPS for geo-tagging of images. The camera itself has Schneider-Kreuznach lens and features Xenon flash, face, smile, and blink detection, as well as a digital image stabilizer. It can capture VGA videos at 30fps and QVGA at 120fps which gives you a slow-motion effect. For memory, you get a microSD card slot that can accommodate cards of up to 8GB in capacity. Viewty’s successor, the LG KC910, will be released this October, although no detail on which Australian carrier will have it has been released yet.
