Laptop Magazine has recently reviewed the Lenovo Thinkpad SL400 notebook for small businesses. In spite of the fact that this product was developed for businesses, it works just as well for other entertainment purposes.
The Lenovo Thinkpad SL400 looks quite a bit different from other Thinkpad models. For one, it has a glossy piano-black finish instead of the usual rubberized exterior. Secondly, it has new hinges and a downward, tapered edge. The notebook offers a glossy screen type so colors will pop out when watching videos on the 14.1-inch screen, although a matte screen is available as well. The integrated 2MP web cam also seems to be impressively clear, while battery test results came out satisfactory. A drawback is that it seems the Centrino 2 notebook takes more than a minute to boot, with the optical drive clunking all the while. The Lenovo Thinkpad SL400 is priced at US$1,129.
