I bought this Leadtek Winfast DTV Dongle Gold USB TV Tuner, because some friends are using it perfectly. But in my laptop I can not install the software and always appera this message “This device is not supported”. What could I do?

Cheers

I only used the older version. But do check these:

1) USB 2 connection on the laptop required. Search online on how to check.
2) WinXP or better I think. I had a laptop with Win2k and it doesn’t like it for the old Dongle. Works well with my WinXP laptop.
3) Go to the shop to get some idea. This is one item I would prefer to get it direct from a shop as the device is fragile.

I’ve installed this on a vista laptop and a xp computer.
The drivers that came with the disk are not for this unit.
The PVR2 face is, but not the drivers for the actual unit.
Google DTV gold usb dongle and get the right drivers.

Many people have this problem, to fix it, simply by installing the driver manually. Explore the DISC, you will see a file named “driver”, and select the right one for your system, there is one for XP one for Vista. Again, install the WinFast PVR2 manually, and it’s done. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help above, believe i successfully downloaded Vista drivers and PVR2 from Leadtek site. On start up, ran the scan for Australia, Brisbane, Slow and only picked up SBS, am I doing something wrong or is it signal strength. Weird as I get all channels except SBS on HDTV set top box? Have tried scanning at medium and fast also, same result

I had the same problem too, I only get SBS channel whereas when I try with the normal LCD tv using the same antenna I get all the channels. :( Does anyone knows how to solve this problem?
