Press Release 27th June, Melbourne: iWorld Australia has announced today that it has partnered with Cellnet to supply DLO/Philips iPhone accessories to the Australian telecommunications channel.
“For some months we’ve actively seeked a specialist partner to service the telecommunications channel” said Chad DeClase, Managing Director of iWorld Australia Pty Limited. “This is really exciting times for all parties concerned and the progress forward with Cellnet is very positive.”
“As Australia’s largest telco accessory distributor, Cellnet has strong existing relationships with all the Australian carriers who will be ranging Apple’s iPhone, so they were the logical choice as a telco supply partner for us”, said DeClase.
According to Mike Wallace, sales manager for telco channels at Cellnet, the upcoming release of Apple’s iPhone is the most anticipated device release in the Australian telecommunications industry in recent years. “We anticipate initial deliveries of iPhone will be sold out in advance, and by partnering with iWorld Australia, Cellnet has a complete range of accessories available for our telecommunications customers to sell from the day of launch.”
“DLO is positioned at the premium end of our range, sitting alongside other iPhone-specific accessories from Belkin and Mercury AV.” According to Wallace initial feedback on DLO has been extremely positive, with pre-ordering already indicating the strength of the range. “Our customers have been keen to find products certified with the ‘works with iPhone’ logo” he said “and DLO’s success in other markets is well recognised”.
While not in a position to state where at this time, Wallace went on to confirm “You’ll see DLO accessories stocked in the core range held in major Optus and specialist telco retail outlets on launch day”. “We’ve been very happy with the acceptance of this brand”.
DeClase went further: “This will catapult DLO and cement them as a leader in the mobility market place. We are really excited with signing a deal with Cellnet and can’t wait for all the new iPhone products to start rolling out. Not only iPhone accessories, but we also have a solid range of mobile phone accessories from Philips already in the pipeline as well.”
