iPod Touch 2nd Gen Beats iPhone in Speed

A 3D game called TouchSports Tennis by Handheld Games Corp has been having some issues with hardware out of the Cupertino HQ. As such, the company has had to optimize the game for Apple devices. Doing so, it was found out that iPod Touch second generation beats the other touch screen Apple gadgets when it comes to speed.

By touch screen Apple gadgets, I meant not only its predecessor, the first generation iPod Touch, but also the first and second generation iPhone. The iPod Touch 2nd is actually followed by the iPhone 3G with regards to speed, and then the first generation iPhone, and finally, the iPod Touch first generation. The second gen iPod Touch’s speed boost apparently came from a hardware upgrade – it runs on a 532MHz processor and Apple didn’t bother telling anyone, while the first-gen iPod Touch runs on 412MHz processor.
