Got a first-gen iPhone down under? Not impossible with the magic of jailbreaking. I’m sure there’s a considerable number of first generation iPhone units in Australia already. Unfortunately, they’re not welcome in the new Australian Apple Store.
According to apcmag, first-gen iPhones won’t be repaired in the new Apple store even if the iPhone 3G is to be released on July 11. Visitors with iPhones originally from the US and the UK, however, are very much welcome. Considering a jailbroken iPhon means its warranty is already void, I guess that’s already to be expected. Check out the article at apcmag where you can find a list of merchants which could repair your iPhone.
