Although the idea of using an external keyboard with the iPhone 3G is quite appealing, there aren’t any official nor tidy solutions out there just yet. Take for example this current hack featured on Engadget: the iPhone looks like it’s happily getting text input from a XBOX 360 Chatpad through some electronic wizardry, however it’s like a mad-woman’s breakfast.
Now if only someone could package it all together nice and neat, possibly in the form factor of the Chatpad…I’d definitely buy something like that!
Oh well, I guess it’s back to painfully writing long SMSes with the in-screen keyboard.
