The much-awaited iPhone 2.2 firmware update was released just recently. It included several enhancements to the iPhone software such as inclusion of Google Street View, sharing locations via email, improved email formatting, and over the air iTunes podcast downloads among others.
And, of course, just like a game of cat and mouse, jailbreakers release support for the iPhone 2.2 firmware as quickly as it came. Yep, you can now get the jailbreak for iPhone 2.2 at the iPhone-dev blog, but do take note of item number 1: if you want to unlock your iPhone 3G in the future, don’t use the simpler QuickPwn, use PwnageTool instead.
