Like it or not, the MacBook Air is quite the looker in spite of its many shortcomings. It’s a shame to pair it up with lousy portable hard drives, not that decent looking ones are scarce these days. But still, there’s nothing like hooking it up to a portable hard drive that looks just like it.
The IOMEGA eGo Helium is a portable hard disk drive that looks like the MacBook Air’s long lost younger sibling. Like the air, the 320GB 2.5-inch portable drive is encased in aluminum. It doesn’t stop there—the eGo Helium, like the Air, is also thin AND light with 0.63 inches thickness and 7 ounces in weight. IOMEGA offers two backup software applications along with the drive: EMC Restrospect Express for Macintosh 6.1 software and the MozyHome online backup software. In spite of how it looks like, the drive is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
The 320GB IOMEGA eGo Helium portable hard disk drive will be available worldwide starting October for $149.99.
