I still have it right now and tried pulling on it to see if the stitches could easily come off but it is very secure. It will not tear off under normal use. How did it rip off? If it was under normal wear and tear I believe it should be covered under warranty. I have found that the end which is magnitised where you pull the front off to access the phone has ripped away (the flappy bit where the metal bit is). It is not made very well.
