Erstwhile known as the HTC Raphael, the HTC Touch Pro is already in the list of most-anticipated smartphones by people around the globe. It is, after all, a likely target for those who would rather have a tangible full QWERTY keyboard and hence, skipped on the HTC Touch Diamond even if they liked the device.
The HTC Touch Pro does look like the Touch Diamond at face value. There are a few differences, however, including the fact that the Touch Pro is a tad thicker due to the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The Touch Pro also passes on the built-in 4 GB flash memory in favor of an expandable card slot, 512 MB of ROM, and 288 MB of RAM. According to The Unwired, while the Touch Pro has the same 3.2MP camera as the Diamond, it has a white LED photo light. Moreover, the back of the Touch Pro has more of a matte feel compared to Diamond’s glossy back. Both the HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro run on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, support quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, and dual band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA.
