Prior to this, the smartphone was just a subject of rumors, but now T-Mobile has inadvertently introduced the HTC Raphael to the world. Following T-Mobile’s policy of creating its own names for handsets it sells, the HTC Raphael is now re-christened the T-Mobile MDA Vario IV.
The HTC Raphael (or T-Mobile MDA Vario IV, whatever you want to call it) bears a strong resemblance to the HTC Touch Diamond, with the added feature of a sliding full QWERTY keyboard. The handset features a 480 x 640 pixels TFT display with a 3.2 megapixel camera at the rear for taking pictures and another at the front meant for video telephony. With the Raphael, you can enjoy 3G connection that supports 7.2 Mbit/s HSDPA, GPS, music player, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The HTC Raphael is yet to be officially announced by HTC and there’s no word yet on its availability on other carriers both in Europe and worldwide.
