Just as we had reported before, the HTC Touch Diamond (model P3700) has a simpler alternative called the HTC Touch Victor (model P3702). Last week, it was already up for sale in Taiwan, although it isn’t clear yet whether we’d see a worldwide release.
The main difference between the Victor and the Diamond lies in the aesthetics. The Touch Diamond showed off a back with a design resembling etches on the surface of a diamond. The Victor, however, has a rounded back, as well as rounded edges. Another difference is that the P3702 carries only 128 MB RAM while the original P3700 has 192 MB. Earlier on, a non-3G version of the HTC Touch Diamond was released in India, and a CDMA version has just passed FCC approval. Looks like the HTC P3702 Victor won’t be the last of the Touch Diamond variants.
