Remember the Max 4G? Yes, the very first GSM/WiMAX phone that was rumored to arrive in Australia (the rumor that was later debunked, that it)? Up ’til now, we’ve only seen it fondled in Russia, reviewed in the Russian language. And as much as we’re just happy to see it, we’d be glad if it got reviewed in English.
Thankfully, someone from Malaysia got a hold of the HTC Max 4G and has posted a review of it in English (YAY!). According to the review, the MAX 4G worked just fine using a Malaysian SIM card and internet connection was possible through EDGE. Its WiMAX network though is only accessible through Yota, the Russian telco that serves as its distributor. Now before you go importing the Max 4G for whatever reason you might have, I just thought you ought to know that the phone’s language is in Russian and it can’t be changed at all.
