Other than the media phone, HTC Touch HD, the company saw fit to announce two more phones on the very same day. Said phones are the colorful HTC Touch 3G and the simpler, more basic HTC Touch Viva. Both utilize TouchFLO 3D interface and both sport 2.8 inch QVGA touch screen displays.
The HTC Touch 3G‘s focus is on web connectivity, offering HSDPA speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps, although it would only work on European networks for now. The device can easily be used to stream YouTube videos, consult Google maps, and keep in track of your favorite blogs via its integrated RSS feed reader. It will come in sophisticated black, noble gold, sparkle blue and modern brown. The HTC Touch Viva, on the other hand, is an easy-to-use touch screen phone HTC describes as “affordable” and hence could be targeting developing markets. The GSM/EDGE phone has a 2 megapixel camera (Touch 3G has 3.2 megapixel) with Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS. It will come in a simple Storm Gray.
The HTC Touch 3G and the HTC Touch Viva will be available by early October 2008 in various (unannounced) markets.
