Introduced last year, everybody anticipated a late 2007 release of the HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger. Unfortunately, release date was pushed back until HP announced a definite June 30, 2008 release.
The HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger smartphone is a rather ordinary-looking tablet-shaped device with a 2.5 QVGA touch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard. It runs on a 416 MHz processor and is installed with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. When it comes to memory, you’d get a 128 MB RAM and 256 MB of ROM. The 3-megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom isn’t so shabby as well. The device exhibits USB 2.0 connectivity and lets you expand its storage space with a microSD card slot. Its main attraction (for me, at least) however, would be the 3G and wireless LAN capabilities. The HP iPAQ 910 Business Messenger will first be available in the US and in Europe for US$500.
