Over in Paris where the Eiffel Tower stands tall, Griffin takes the veils off of two new products for the iPhone 3G. At the Apple Expo Paris, the AirCurve acoustic amplifier was presented. It’s a translucent device that’s actually capable of enhancing the sound from your iPhone 3G without the need for speakers or other auxiliary devices.
The AirCurve is equipped with a coiled waveguide that’s responsible for collecting the sound from the iPhone’s speakers and amplifying it. It promises to deliver sounds similar to that from full-sized speakers, although perhaps not the ones from the higher-end of the price scale. It even has a slot to fit a dock in so your phone can charge and sync at the same time. The other device is the Clarifi polycarbonate case that actually has a built-in sliding focusing lens on it on top of iPhone’s camera. Other than that, it comes complete with the necessary cutouts. The AirCurve and the Clarifi will be available starting October for $20 and $30 respectively.
