What do you do when you come across a CEO carrying the prototype of a yet-to-be-announced device– a) pretend you didn’t see the gadget, b) ask about it but nothing more, c) take pictures of it? Gizmodo posted the first pictures of a new Dell Mini-Inspiron notebook when editor Brian Lam came across Michael Dell at a conference.
A bit later, Dell spokesperson Anne Camden presented a couple of official pictures of what’s come to be known as the Dell Mini-Inspiron at the Dell blog. It seems to be nothing bigger than a pencil and is obviously a direct competitor of either the Asus Eee PC or the HP 2133 Mini-Note. Gizmodo reported a few specs including Ethernet, USB ports, card reader, and a VGA out port, but that’s all about it. This baby’s targeting developing countries, so I guess we’ll see prices close to other mini-notebooks’ in the market. While I do love the red shell, it’ll all be down to specs, so please don’t keep us waiting, Dell!
