I’m honestly not in handheld gaming so I can’t share some people’s sentiments when they say they wish their Sony PSPs are also mobile phones. I mean sure, if my phone has games, I’ll play them. But I won’t buy PSP just because it has a phone—I’m sure gamers would disagree, though.
According to Marketing Week, Sony’s and Ericsson’s relationship has become “frosty” such that Sony didn’t even give the Sony Ericsson F305 its PlayStation branding. It seems to have been the logical choice seeing as the F305 is focused on gaming. So now, word on the street is that Sony is considering PlayStation-branded phones using elements from the PlayStation Portable. Not a bad idea, but I’m not keen about it either. What do you think of a Sony PSP phone? Share your thoughts in the comments.
