A month after the release of the Studio line of laptops, Dell has launched the new Studio Hybrid desktop PCs. The small PCs are available in seven different color schemes: Emerald, Ruby, Slate, Quartz, Topaz, Sapphire, and Bamboo.
Starting at US$499 for the most basic configuration, the Dell Studio Hybrid was created for the design and eco-conscious people, as well as those lacking space in their homes or offices. Dell claims the Studio Hybrid consumes up to 70 percent less energy than other desktop PCs. Other than benefitting the environment, that’s obviously favorable for those of us paying the bills. PC Magazine has released a review of the desktop PC line at the same day of its launch and the Dell Studio Hybrid did fairly OK. Conclusion is that the line would be appealing to those it’s especially designed for (the design conscious, the space constrained, and the eco-lover), but there are more powerful systems out there which are more expandable and feature-rich.
