When the first Celio Redfly was unveiled, my brows twitched. I was thinking of who would actually be thinking of buying a “mobile companion” that has no OS of its own and serves merely as a larger screen and keyboard to smartphones when there are perfectly functioning netbooks at the same price point.
But perhaps Celio has its own target audience because apparently, the brand has just released two new mobile companion models to choose from. First is the REDFLY C7 with a 7-inch display and five hours of battery life. The other is the REDFLY C8N with a bigger eight-inch screen, simultaneous connections, and composite video input. The REDFLY C7 has a SRP of $229 while the REDFLY C8N is priced at $299.
