It’s only obvious after a series of leaked information including slides of a PowerPoint presentation and more recently, a promotional video, that the BlackBerry Storm would be officially out soon. Vodafone UK already put up a page dedicated to RIM’s touch screen device.
In Australia, the BlackBerry Storm is slated to be released by Vodafone as well. No concrete details were given, except that Oz will see the handset “later this year.” Vodafone’s networks will be getting the BlackBerry Storm 9500 (quad-band GSM/2100Mhz UMTS). Verizon in the USA and Bell and Telus in Canada will be getting the Blackberry Storm 9530 (quad-band GSM/2100Mhz UMTS/CDMA2000 1xEV-DO). The BlackBerry Storm would be free on Vodafone UK on a AU$90 monthly contract, so expect to pay something near that when the device arrives.
