By now, everyone and their mother would have already known about RIM’s latest darling (at least until the BlackBerry 9500 comes out), the BlackBerry Bold. All that remained is the Australian release which already happened yesterday.
The BlackBerry Bold would be released by the same companies which carry the Apple iPhone 3G: Optus, Telstra, and Vodafone. Among the three, only Optus (check out Optus’s BlackBerry Bold page her) had given a taste of what the plans would be likeāthat’s AU$10/monthly on a 2-year contract with the BlackBerry AU$79 cap plan. Optus would be leading the pack with an August 20 release while Telstra would offer the handset by late September (Vodafone didn’t announce a release date).
The BlackBerry Bold is a sleek device hailed for its crisp and clear screen. It has HSPA and WiFi connectivity, a-GPS, and 2 megapixel camera.
