No more guessing which Australian carrier’s going to get the new BlackBerry Bold. It didn’t take long for us to find out after its official release a few days ago anyhow, but now we got an official statement about it. According to MIS Australia, the BlackBerry Bold will preliminarily be offered by Telstra’s Next G Network.
Unfortunately, that’s about all we know for now. Official pricing and release date are yet to be announced, although the speculations are that the phone might launch by July. That’d mean the BlackBerry Bold might be going head-to-head against the 3G iPhone in Australia. As an addendum, Telstra is also reportedly releasing the 3G iPhone in the country. But since we’ve heard nothing about it at all, perhaps they’ve changed their minds and just went for the BlackBerry Bold instead?
