Last week, BGR reviewed the much-awaited BlackBerry Bold extensively to satiate the BlackBerry-hungry fans. As a spin-off of that review, BGR has taken a more focused look the BlackBerry Bold’s mobile web browser.
The BlackBerry Bold browser tested better than prior BlackBerry mobile browsers. Images and text were sharp, but unfortunately, the browser is far from perfect. It can’t seem to display a few web-based images, as well as some of a web page’s contents. Another problem pointed out is that many major web sites have BlackBerry versions of their pages shown on the handsets. Hence, even if the Bold shows mobile browsing improvements, they won’t be evident. All in all, BRG reckons the BlackBerry Bold browser did pretty well, not perfect, but better than before.
