Australian multimedia college Qantm is slated to launch an iPhone Game Development course soon as part of its list of game development and design courses. I guess it was only a matter of time before a course like this comes up, but I can think of a couple of people who’d think this is crazy.
Sure, an iPhone game development course would sound a bit off at first, but the app developers who hit it big have been enjoying the fruits of their labor and what huge fruits they turned out to be! Take for example the developer of the iPhone game Trism who made a profit of $250,000 in just a couple of months. The course sure is looking less crazy now, isn’t it? To be offered as night and weekend classes, it costs a whopping US$8,000. Regarding Apple’s NDA, the school claims it’s been working closely with Apple and that the people behind the course are hopeful that a new NDA especially for them will have been drafted by the time the course is ready to launch. The iPhone Game Development Course will first be offered the Qantm College’s Britain campus before it pans out to other branches of the school in Australia.
