Yep, the Audio Bone 1.0 headphones use that “bone conduction” technology I’ve been hearing a lot of lately. Its manufacturer, GameChanger, however claims that unlike other similar products that use bone conduction and fall flat when it comes to sound quality, Audio Bone 1.0 delivers “an amazing stereo sound.”
Conventional earphones deliver sounds through people’s eardrums which may cause hearing loss later in life (or sooner, if you have those headphones in full blast all the time). Bone conduction technology bypasses the eardrums altogether and converts sound waves into vibrations that’s received by the inner ear and heard through your, yep, bones. The company currently has four patent pending related to bone conduction technology all employed on the Audio Bone 1.0 headphones. Sure it’s not really that much of a looker, but if it really does deliver great sound quality as promised, then it stands a chance in the market. If not, then hey, at least it’s waterproof. It sells for $190 and comes in blue, orange, and black.
