Yeah, yeah, I know what you’re thinking (”What? More Eee?!”). What started as a humble seven-inch mini-note has expanded into some sort of a mini-empire with products enough to drive the sanest man to his edge.
OK, I’m overreacting. But really, just the number of Eee PC mini-notes available is a little frustrating that the mere mention of the letter “E” could set me on one of my not-another-Eee episodes. This new item is the Asus Eee monitor. Well, the source isn’t exactly sure if it’s a monitor, because while there are pictures, no details were given by Asus. Why wonder about the validity of its being a monitor, you ask? That’s because even if it might look like a monitor at face value, this product actually has components which could make it a stand-alone PC. Said components include a card reader, 2 USB ports, three audio ports, two Ethernet ports, and possibly an integrated audio system. The Asus Eee “Monitor” reportedly has a starting price of US$500.
