Last month, we informed you that Qantm, an Australian multimedia college, is slated to offer an iPhone game app development course very, very soon. One issue brought up is that it would be impossible to teach the course without violating Apple’s restrictive Non-Disclosure Agreement.
The school was hopeful that Apple would draft an agreement especially for them that would circumvent the NDA. Looks like they have nothing to worry after all—Apple has just dropped its NDA for all released iPhone software. Apple issued a formal statement saying that the NDA was employed “so that others don’t steal [their] work.” However, the Cupertino-based company must have realized that it’s hindering further development by stapling people’s mouths. Dropping the NDA means people can talk, and hence, courses like the iPhone game app development would be possible.
