Yep, that’s right. Google Talk has just been configured for the Apple iPhone and the iPod Touch. It’s specifically designed for Apple’s Safari browser.
According to source, using Google Talk on your Apple devices would demand your undivided attention, or at least your phone’s. That means you need to keep that certain Safari window active at all time; opening another browser or application would restart the Google Talk session. AT&T is reportedly displeased with this development, as it might mean a decrease in texting revenue, since the company’s new plans entail a separate payment for text messages. In Australia though, it might not be too big of a problem for Optus, at least, since based on its iPhone data plans, text messaging seems to be included.
