iPod Nano 4th Gen
Apple’s keynote yesterday concentrated on the company’s highly-popular line of music players, the iPod, just like we’ve all expected. The new products fall under the iPod Nano and iPod Touch versions to be precise.
The second generation of the iPod Touch doesn’t really have that much of a difference from the first. Its angles are rounder, sort of like the iPhone 3G, and it sports a metal enclosure. It also supports the Nike+ iPod interface allowing you to access graphs from the web site. The star of the show, however, would have to be the iPod Nano fourth generation. It actually looks like what’s been circulating on the web for the last few weeks. It’s the thinnest iPod to date with curved form factor.
The new iPod Nano has a revamped user interface and has an integrated accelerometer that switches to Cover Flow when rotated and to Shuffle when shaken. There will be an 8GB and 16GB version available in silver, purple, blue, green, orange, yellow, pink, red, and black. Both the new iPod Touch and iPod Nano are compatible with iTunes 8 Genius feature that allows users to easily create playlists in a single click.
